About Me
Hey, I’m Jurij, I am a developer who enjoys building clean, fast, and simple web stuff. I like working with React and Next.js, experimenting with new tools, and finding small ways to make things smoother or more efficient.

What I’m Building
I work on a mix of things — some for fun, some for work, some that just started because I got curious. Most of what I do involves web development, automation, and making small tools that make life easier.
Here’s a rough idea of what that looks like:
- 🧠 At Lek / Sandoz, I work on IT/OT systems — automating stuff with VBA, SQL, and PowerShell, connecting things like SCADA, SIMBA, and IFIX. Basically, helping production data flow a bit more smoothly.
- 🕹️ I’ve built apps for DragonHack — like Urban Lore (which actually won a category) and KeSi, a location-based guessing game we made just for fun.
- 🌍 I make websites — this portfolio, my floorball club’s site Mirni Živci, and other small projects for friends and events.
- 📊 I like writing Excel/VBA tools that automate reports, compare lists, or pull data from SQL — small scripts that end up saving people hours.
- 💻 And when I’m not working on any of that, I’m solving LeetCode, Project Euler, or Advent of Code puzzles, mostly because I find them oddly relaxing.
Lately, I’ve been exploring NixOS and self-hosting setups — just trying to build a fast, clean dev environment that feels right.

Outside of Code
When I’m not coding, I’m usually somewhere running around — volleyball, basketball, floorball, badminton, spikeball… anything with a ball and a bit of chaos works for me.
I like tinkering with old computers and hardware — cleaning, fixing, or repurposing them just because it’s fun to see what still works. Sometimes it turns into a full-on rabbit hole, sometimes I just end up with a pile of junk tech.

Always Learning
I like figuring things out — whether that’s a tricky bug, a better workflow, or just some new random tech that looks interesting. Most of what I know came from trying, failing, and trying again.
This page will probably keep changing as I add new projects, fix old ones, or start something completely random again. That’s the fun part.
